It’s the perfect dress to walk back from the pool to your cabin on a cruise or for sitting under the thatched roof of a beach bar.
The free pattern for the beach dress was designed by Sew So Easy and comes in sizes XXS – XXL. Written for a beginner sewist, the details are easy to sew and add style to the dress.

To make the beach dress, you will need the following supplies:
- 2 to 2.5 yards of fabric of your choice not too thick and with good drapability.
- 2 yards of 2″ bias tape. (Or make your own – see below).
- Coordinating thread
- a 2″ wooden or plastic ring
- clear plastic strap slider adjusters
