Joann’s Fabrics brings us full instructions and templates to make these adorable Halloween creature pillows. So easy you will want to make the whole “family”.
Faces are appliqued to the pillow pieces before sewing. If you are unfamiliar with applique, see Nana’s post “Learn to Applique” on our sister site. You can also choose to glue the faces to the pillow pieces instead of machine appliqueing.
Although you may make the pillows out of any type of fabric, cotton works best for the applique. Connecting Threads has a wide variety of luxe cotton solid fabric perfect for this project and at a great price!
To make all three of these Halloween character pillows you will need the following supplies:
- 3 18″ pillow forms
- 3/4 yd each, orange, green & white fabric for pillows.
- 1/2 yd black fabric for applique
- 1/2 yd yellow fabric for applique
- Scraps of white fabric for applique

- 1 yd fusible webbing
- 1 pkg 3/16″ cable cording
- 2-1/4 yds heavy weight interfacing or stitch and tear
- Disappearing marker (optional)
