Designed by Wendy Sheppard for Windham Fabrics, experienced quilters will enjoy this paper-pieced pattern. The finished quilt measures approximately 80 x 80, perfect for a queen sized bed.
You could also make the All That Glitters quilt without the piano key border. In this case, the finished size would be approx 63″ square.
The pattern uses fabric from the Precious Metal collection by Windham. Silver and gold floating feathers, falling leaves, flitting butterflies and buzzing bees adorn this stylish collection. Available in black and white, mix and match with gold and silver solid fabric.
Change the prints to the colors of your choice for a very different look. There are lots of metallic fabrics to be found, you are sure to find a colorway you love.
To make the All That Glitters quilt, you will need the following supplies:
- 1-1/2 yds of white fabric
- 1-3/4 yds of gold metallic fabric
- 1-1/2 yds of silver metallic fabric
- 1 yd of black fabric (includes binding)
- Various cuts of metallic printed fabrics (see pattern) of your choice
- 2-5/8 yds of extra wide backing fabric
- Coordinating thread
- Queen size batting
