Designed by Wendy Sheppard for Windham Fabric’s new fabric collection, this quilt measures 101 inches x 101 inches when complete!
The various shades of blue found in Windham Fabric’s English Garden collection creates the unique look. The quilt is made in four sections which are constructed by sewing together ten unique pieced rows.
This pattern uses 8 shades of blue to create the center of the quilt. You can change this quilt by choosing 8 shades of fabric in your favorite color.
To make the Blue Cluster quilt you will need the following supplies:
- 7/8 yards of 5 different fabrics for center
- 1-1/8 yard of 2 fabrics for center
- 1-3/8 yard of 1 fabric for center
- 3/4 yard of fabric for first inner border
- 3/8 yard of fabric for second inner border
- 1-3/4 yards for outer border
- 9 yards of fabric for backing or 3 yards of 108″ backing (see Nana’s post on how to make your backing look spectacular)
- King size batting
- Coordinating thread
