Designed by Cherry Guidry of Cherry Blossoms this FREE pattern makes a mini quilt measuring approximately 12 1/2″ x 14″. Perfect for a table topper, placemat or banner. If you decide to use this as a table linen, I personally would not add the pom-pom. To make the tail simply applique a round white tail onto the bunny block.
Because this mini quilt is made in blocks it is very easy to add a few more to create a table runner. I am thinking three bunny rows and 4 egg blocks would be about right.
Of course, because this project was designed several years ago, the fabric used by the designer is currently unavailable. But because you are a creative quilter, I am positive you can find wonderful fabrics to make this a special masterpiece.
To make this Easter mini quilt, you will need the following supplies (times three if you make a table runner):
- 1 Fat Quarter tone-on-tone background fabric
- 7″ x 9″ Aqua print
- 1/4 yd Orange print
- 5″ x 3 1/2″ Green print
- 6″ x 3 1/2″ Pink print
- Piecing & quilting thread
- Fat-quarter for backing and hanging sleeve (hanging sleeve is optional)
- 14″ x 16″ piece of batting
- Faux Fur yarn for pompom (optional)
