Unisex Crocheted Fedora – No longer Free.

SORRY BUT THIS PATTERN HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED!! But I did find an alternative PAID pattern ($5.50) that is quite similar. Let me know what you think in the comments.

I have been growing out my hair and found myself looking more and more at hats. When I stumbled across this pattern for the Crocheted Fedora Hat, I added it to my list of WIP’S!

This trendy crocheted hat features a roll-up brim and can be worn either as a Fedora or a Bowler. A cool and versatile unisex accessory, for him and for her!

The paid pattern includes instructions for sizes Newborn, Baby, Toddler, Boys, Teen, Men’s Medium, Men’s Large, Men’s X Large, Men’s XXL.

The designer of the original pattern recommended using Debblie Bliss Donegal Luxury Tweed yarn. This yarn is a Size 4, 100% Wool yarn from Ireland. For a summer hat, Nana recommends a cotton or linen blend. I actually fell in love with this Berroco Remix blend and will definitely be using it to make my hat.

To make the Crocheted Fedora Hat, you will need the following supplies:

  • Approximately 150 yards of Size 4 weight yarn
  • A small amount of contrasting yarn (optional) for the stripe
  • US (5.5 mm) crochet hook

  1. Hello, I love this unisex crocheted fedora! Unfortunately, I can’t download the pattern. Can you please help?

    1. It appears that some of you are having trouble downloading from Ravelry. I have tried and it works for me! To Joan and Paula, I sent you a personal message to your emails.

      1. Good evening Nana

I love your fedora hat pattern but I’ve been struggling to download and it says this pattern is no longer available. Now what I would like to know is why does it still appear on knitting websites since it’s no longer available for free download. Lastly what should I do to get the pattern.

        Thank you
        Evelyn

        1. Evelyn,
I have been trying to find the designer to obtain permission to share the pattern, however, I have not yet been successful. I am not certain why ravelry has not taken it off their site. I will keep trying or find a replacement for my followers.

    1. Hilary,
The patterns states that the tension is 17 sts to 10cm measured over pattern using 5,5mm (US I) hook.
Note: each sc stitch is made in the ch‐sp of last round, not the top of a sc st of last round.
I believe then that the pattern would be sc1, ch1.
      Hope this helps! Happy hooking

  2. This looks like a great hat, but I don’t see a link to download the patten from the Ravelry page. 😦 Thanks for your help.

    1. Unfortunately, the Fedora pattern has been discontinued by the designer. I cannot provide the pattern without breaking the copyright laws.
      So sorry!!

  3. I finally found the perfect hat but was so disappointed that the pattern is no longer available. Will keep looking. By the time I find one my hair may have grown back! Here’s hoping!
