Six Piece Kitchen Set with Free patterns

I found this wonderful kitchen set to make but to date had not been able to find the perfect fabric. Today I found it!! This recently released fabric is adequately named Strawberry Jam by Moda Fabrics.

Inspired by strawberry season this collection full of flowers, strawberries, ginghams, and dots. Perfect for my new kitchen set.

The kitchen set is made up of six different patterns. The series is entitled Kitchen Confections because each one is a delicious bite size project with plenty of sweet style.

The first in the series is a set of 4 reversible placemats. Each one features unique fabric combinations for the front, back and binding. This tutorial will teach you how to make a ‘strata’ which is used throughout the series.

Next, is a pattern for matching napkins. These napkins are made with 14 different fabrics using the “strata” technique

And finish off the table set with a patchwork table runner. The coordinating runner is quilted using a straight stitch.

You could stop with the lovely table set….but why? There’s more! Starting with the cute toaster cozy.

The kitchen set also comes with a coordinated cook. That’s you in this pleated apron. The apron has a very vintage feel especially with the form-flattering waist pleats and a quilted accent along the top of the bodice. Even the pockets have box pleat details.

And you can’t have a kitchen set without oven mitts! These slip-on oven mitts are vintage in shape and style, modern in color and design

The original kitchen set was designed in 2012 and the fabric pictured is no longer available. When I found Strawberry Jam this week, I immediately thought how great it would look for this set. The amount of fabric required can be found in the tutorials. To access, simply click on the links above.

This kitchen makes for an easy gift for those who love to cook.  Changing up the fabric choice can make it perfect for a country cottage look or a urban chic look.  Here are some other collections that would look great…
