Cairo Table Topper – FREE pattern

I adore table toppers!! They are an easy way to change your decor for little dollars. The modern Cairo table topper can be made in a variety of colors to suit your decor and the season.

As fall approaches, it is time to change our decor to reflect autumn, Halloween and Thanksgiving. This table runner would be a perfect addition to your fall collection.

The intermediate quilter will enjoy testing their skills with the Cairo table topper designed for Robert Kaufman Fabrics. When finished, the table runner will measure approximately 20″ x 38″.

As always, the fabric used in the pattern creation is no longer available, but this pattern is so versatile you can make it in almost every colorway to match your decor or the season. Use a favorite batik, some Fat-eighths or Fat-quarters or scraps from your collection to create your own unique decor. Here are some suggestions:

To make the Cairo table topper you will need the following supplies:

  • 1/8 yd of 8 fabrics
  • 1/4 yd of 2 coordinating fabrics
  • 3/8 yd of fabric for border
  • 3/8 yd of fabric for background
  • 1/3 yd of fabric for binding
  • 1-1/2 yd of backing fabric
  • Batting (optional)
  • Coordinating thread
