WOW!! The snowflake throw looks so intricate, yet it is made from simple motifs crocheted together to produce this awesome afghan.
The pattern was designed by Tammy Hildebrand for Red Heart yarns. The motifs are crocheted in six easy rounds, then joined while working Round 7. Motifs are joined in 6 rows of 7 motifs to produce a throw measuring approximately 45″ x 52″. The size can be easily adjusted by adding more (or less) motifs.
Crochet the throw in Red Heart Super Saver using rich colors to complete a wonderful snowflake pattern. Try it as shown, or use a different blend of shades on this magical throw. The pattern uses “Shaded Dusk”, one of the many variegated shades available.
To make the snowflake throw, you will need the following supplies:
- 2 skeins of RED HEART® “Super Saver” (or equivalent Size 4 yarn) in white
- 5 skeins of RED HEART® “Super Saver” (or equivalent Size 4 yarn) in background color of your choice
- US I/9 (5.5mm) Crochet Hook
