A perfect, super easy sew for a summery dress. The Sparkle Dress was originally designed to be worn as a Christmas party dress, but this dress is so versatile it can actually be worn any time of the year. Personally, I would use it most as a sun dress.
The Sparkle dress also makes a great layering piece. Add a jacket or sweater and a scarf and you have the perfect dress for cooler temps.

Designed by Art Gallery fabrics, the dress is a one size fits all project. Sew together 3 squares of fabric, attach some straps and voila you have this gorgeous dress. So simple to sew!!
Use your favorite fabric to make a few. The original dress was made using metallic fabric, hence the name “Sparkle”.
Recommended fabric includes rayon, voile, poplin and lightweight knits. And of course metallic!!
To make the sparkle dress, you will need the following supplies:
- 3 yards of your favorite fabric
- Coordinating thread
- THAT’s IT!!
