People around the world are putting up homemade rainbow creations in their windows at home, in an effort to spread hope and bring people together during the coronavirus COVID-19 self-isolation period.
The rainbows began as a project for children in the UK, but soon became viral and the rainbow now appears throughout the world as a symbol of hope.
There will be no affiliate links in this post as this is my contribution to the people affected by the crisis. I hope that you can be creative and make your own rainbow of hope.
Whether you quilt or crochet, Nana has found a FREE pattern for you to join in.
FOR MY CROCHET FRIENDS
Create your own beautiful and simple rainbow to hang in your window with this free crochet pattern! This pattern is beginner friendly and works up quickly. Because you are working with simple stitches even kids can make it.
The rainbow can be made with or without the clouds. Clouds can also be made using crocheted circles or hearts, felt pieces, cotton balls and stuffing or scraps of fabrics. Or add tassels! Get creative and make your own rainbow of hope.
ESPECIALLY FOR THE QUILTERS
Don’t crochet? No worries. Nana also found a FREE pattern for you to quilt.
Although, the wall hanging is quite large, you can adjust your print size to make a much smaller project. Use the fabrics in your scraps and create a beautiful rainbow for your home.
Nana’s wish is for everyone to stay healthy. Stay inside, wash your hands and social distance.
