Bakewell Quilt - Alternative made in Reds, Whites, and Blues with a touch of green
This one was made by Mona of Kentucky Whittaker Creations

Designed by Fat Quarter Shop to be made with Jolly Bars, the finished quilt measures approximately 40″ x 48″.

What is a Jolly Bar? Jolly Bars are a Fat Quarter Shop exclusive that are precut 5″ x 10″ cuts of fabric sold in collections. As the selection of Jolly Bars is limited, you could also use these alternatives:

  • Layer Cakes that are cut in half! Layer Cakes are 10″ x 10″ squares also precut and sold in bundles. Half of a layer cake equals a 5″ x 10″ Jolly Bar.
  • The pattern takes the jolly bars and cuts them into 2-1/2″ squares and 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ rectangles. This means you can also use Jelly Rolls. Jelly rolls are 2-1/2″ strips of fabric also sold in bundles.
  • OR, use your scraps!
