It has been so rainy and miserable here for almost a week and Nana needs a little sunshine in her life. So let’s make a happy smiling crocheted sunshine pillow to cheer her up!
This pillow is so sunny and cheerful, it is sure to brighten anyone’s day!

The pillow was designed by Sarah Zimmerman of Repeat Crafter Me and measures approximately 14 inches (not including the pom-poms). It is easy to make with the free pattern and easy to follow tutorial.
The designer used Caron Simply Soft in Sunshine to create the pillow. Caron Simply Soft yarn is a versatile worsted weight (Size 4) yarn that is incredibly soft to the touch, This yarn is perfect for a variety of projects from baby to fashion to home decor and comes in an extensive array of colors you are sure to find the perfect shade for every project! With a unique sheen, this yarn works up with a fabulous, lustrous look, with a beautiful drape. Conveniently machine washable and dryable for easy care.
Because there is no gauge, you may use any Worsted Weight (Size 4) yarn in your favorite yellow!
Make your own pom-poms or use the Clover pom-pom maker to make perfect pompoms every time! Simply wind and cut, tie with thread or yarn, then remove and shape. The pattern uses the large size but these makers are also available in Size small and jumbo.
To make the crocheted Sunshine Pillow, you will need the following supplies:
- 2 skeins of Caron Simply Soft in Sunshine or equivalent Size 4 yarn
- Scraps of pink yarn for the cheeks, and brown or black for the slip-stitched eyes and mouth.
- U.S. Size G-6 ( 4 mm) crochet hook
- Clover Large Pompom maker set
- 14 inch round pillow form or you can use poly-fil stuffing.
