The sheath dress is probably the most flattering dress for any body type. While a shift dress is loose and comfy, sheath dresses are formfitting following the curves of the hips, waist, and bust.
With this FREE sheath dress pattern, you can quickly turn a favorite print into a moving work of art.

Constructed using simple pattern pieces, minimal darts and a concealed zipper, the sheath dress is an easy way to go bold with flattering florals as spring beckons – plus, the bow collar adds a cute fifties twist to its striking silhouette.
Designed by Amanda Walker for Sew Magazine, the pattern is available in Sizes 8 through 16 and includes full instructions to make this dress in no time. Knowledge of sewing darts and inserting a zipper would be helpful in making this dress.
