This runner was designed by Edyta Sitar for Andover fabrics and measures approximately 37″ x 13″ when complete. Leaves are appliqued to mottled background to create the elegant design.

Originally designed for use with Andover batiks, your choice of colors for the leaves are plentiful. Selection of Andover batiks may be limited but most fabric manufacturers offer batiks in many colors. From soft greens to vibrant oranges, pastel pinks to rich golds, batiks are a great way to add the subtle changes in color that autumn leaves are famous for. Fabric.com offers a selection of over 5,000 designs. You can also get a great selection of batiks at Connecting Threads, or the Fat Quarter Shop.
And you can add as many leaves as desired with the two sizes of templates provided. NOTE: The pattern mentions using Maple Leaves Fusible Applique Shapes, however, you can create your own with fusible webbing and the templates provided.
To make the Autumn Leaves Table Runner, you will need the following supplies:
- 4 different Fat Quarters for the background blocks
- Various Fat Eighths for the leaves
- 1/2 yard of fabric for the borders and bindings
- 1/2 yard of fabric for backing
- Maple Leaves Fusible Applique Shapes or Heat N Bond fusible webbing
- Batting if desired
- Coordinating Thread
