This project was designed by Robert Kaufman Fabrics and when finished makes a tote measuring 13″ x 16″ x 3″. A perfect size for the market, library or back to school.
Originally designed to be made with the fabric panel from the Celebrate Seuss collection unfortunately, this collection is no longer available (but if you look real hard you might find some yardage still being sold).
But don’t fret!! Every year, Kaufmann features a new Dr. Seuss panel. This year’s collection will be available at the Fat Quarter Shop.
This pattern can also be made with yardage. To see all the Dr. Seuss fabric available – click HERE.
To make the Dr. Seuss Book Bag you will need the following supplies:
- One Dr. Seuss featured panel or 1/2 yard of fabric for outside of tote
- 3/4 yard of coordinating fabric for handles and lining.
- 1/2 yard of fusible fleece
- Coordinating thread
Although the pattern features fabric from the Dr. Seuss collections, this versatile book bag tote can be created to suit the season, the occasion or your special loved one by changing your fabric selection.
